Graduates Tackle Work Force With Green Job Skills BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) ― Graduates from the Laborers International Union of North America use new skills to save energy on the job.
A program designed to teach new skills and help save energy celebrated its first graduation at its Brighton training facility on Friday. The Laborers International Union of North America put together the program to train thousands of workers with new weatherization skills.
The idea is to create a new industry that not only puts people to work, but saves families money by reducing their energy bills.
One graduate, Alisa Sykes, plans to use her skills on the job, and at home. "Save energy, save money, how to do a lot of stuff for my mom's house because she is a senior citizen, struggling," said Sykes.
