The CCOC is a unique model of collaborative organizing, and comprises the nine largest groups doing grassroots community organizing in Colorado. These organizations, through their active membership bases, all have a strong commitment to progressive social change. Focus areas include health care reform, immigrant rights, educational reform, economic justice, and affirmative action. The CCOC was founded with support from the Ford Foundation, with on-going financial support from the equally involved Philanthropic Community Organizing Collaborative (PCOC). The PCOC is comprised of 11 Colorado-based national and local funders. The organizations of the CCOC are committed to identifying opportunities to work together and across issues to achieve social justice and equality.
